Lacy’s story is deeply woven into the fabric of GGSL. She grew up on these fields — first as a young player with a bright smile and fearless swing, then as a dedicated coach, and eventually as a devoted leader who poured her heart into every corner of the league. What began as a childhood passion became Lacy’s lifelong mission: to support and shape young athletes in her community through the sport she loved.
She had an unmatched ability to foster confidence in every player, whether they were stepping up to the plate for the first time or leading their team through a tough inning. Her commitment to fairness, fun, and personal growth defined her leadership style and made her a beloved figure to countless players, parents, and fellow volunteers.
As President, Lacy was more than an organizer or a leader — she was a visionary. She pushed for new opportunities, celebrated every win, and stood firmly by every child who needed encouragement. Her legacy lives on in every player she coached, every team she supported, and every moment of joy shared on the diamond.
To this day, the league reflects her passion, her energy, and her belief in the power of sport to build both character and community.
Lacy’s loss is felt deeply across GGSL and the entire Greentown community. We honor her memory by continuing her work, cheering as loudly as she did, and keeping the love of the game alive — just as she always did.
